WHAT: United Soccer Leagues Second Division game
WHEN/WHERE: Today at 7 p.m., University of Richmond Stadium
TICKETS: $12 adult, $7 youth (17-under).
NOTABLE: When these teams met on June 6 in Harrisburg, the Kickers were routed 4-1. That was a far cry from last year's USL2 title game here, when the City Islanders edged Richmond on penalty kicks after the clubs were tied 1-1 through regulation and overtime. . . . Harrisburg (4-1-5, 17 points) has won four in a row after a winless start. The City Islanders boast the best defense in the league, having allowed only six goals in 10 games, thanks in part to goalkeeper Daniel Cepero (0.70 goals-against average). . . . Harrisburg's chief threats are midfielder Mo Oduor (three goals, two assists), midfielder Brian Ombiji (three goals, one assist) and midfielder/defender Ryan Heins (three goals, one assist). . . . The Kickers (5-4-0, 15) will counter with midfielder Stanley Nyazamba (three goals), forward David Bulow (two goals, one assist) and midfielder Mike Burke (one goal, three assists). . . . This will be Richmond's last home game until July 12. The Kickers are 4-0 at home. . . . A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Jamie Hess Bone Marrow Transplant Research Fund at VCU's Massey Cancer Center.
