NOTABLE: This is a first-round match in the 2008 U.S Open Cup. Richmond received an automatic berth by virtue of winning the United Soccer Leagues Second Division regular-season crown last year. The Kickers are 4-4-0 this season. . . . Fredericksburg qualified by being first in the Eastern Conference of the Premier Development League (amateur) at the time teams were chosen for the competition. The Gunners are 5-2-0 and second in the Mid-Atlantic Division. Fredericksburg beat the Richmond Future 1-0 earlier this season on a goal by forward Ryan Johnson. . . . Richmond likely won't have midfielder Michael Burke (cracked rib) or forward Ben Hunter (groin) for this game. Forward Stanley Nyazamba leads the Kickers with three goals. . . . The winner faces the winner of Western Mass (USL2)-Boston Olympiakos (U.S. Adult Soccer Association) on June 24. The Kickers reached the quarterfinals last year.
