CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Jonah Long's goal in the 11th minute was all the Charlotte Eagles would need in last night's 3-0 victory over the visiting Richmond Kickers.

The Kickers (1-1) had won six straight in the series, including all four games last season. The teams will meet again May 24, Richmond's next home game.

In last night's game at Charlotte Christian School's Restart Field, Dustin Swinehart assisted on the initial goal for the Eagles (2-0), then added a goal of his own on a penalty kick in the 58th minute. Jorge Herrera scored Charlotte's third goal in the 76th minute.
