WHAT: Southern Professional Hockey League game
WHEN/WHERE: Tonight at 7:35 p.m., Crown Center Coliseum (cap. 9,715), Fayetteville, N.C.
NOTABLE: The Renegades (27-20-3, 57 points) meet Fayetteville (23-19-8, 54) for the second time in three nights. Richmond beat the FireAntz 3-2 on Wednesday. . . . The Renegades need one point to clinch third place and home ice for their likely first-round, best-of-three series with fourth-place Fayetteville. . . . Richmond is 6-1-1 in its past eight games and has equaled the number of wins by last year's inaugural SPHL team. . . . In Wednesday's game, the Renegades held the high-scoring line of Tim Velemirovich , Rob Sich and Justin Keller scoreless. Each of them has at least 22 goals. . . . Richmond is 13-12 on the road; the FireAntz are 12-9-3 at home. . . . The Renegades return home tomorrow night (7:35) to play Twin City in their final regular-season game. At 1 p.m., the Richmond Hockey Fights Cancer charity will hold its annual Hockey for Hope game, followed by the Legends of Richmond Hockey game at 5:30. Among those scheduled to play in the Legends game are Richmond coach Brian Goudie , Rod Taylor , David Hymovitz and Ron Pesetti . Advance tickets for the tripleheader are $10. Ex-coach John Brophy will coach one of the Legends teams. Miss Richmond Renegades for 2008 will be crowned during the game.
