What she did: Turner, the Wildcats' third-leading scorer last year, has increased her production this year because of graduation losses. A 5-10 junior guard, she averaged 21 points last week in Colonial District victories over Patrick Henry, J.R. Tucker and Douglas Freeman. She also averaged 5 assists (seven vs. Tucker) and 6 steals (nine against Freeman) for the seventh-ranked Wildcats.

Age: 16

Three words that describe you best: "Hardworking, friendly, responsible."

Strengths: "My defense and shooting."

I'm working on: "My jump shots and free throws."

Favorite food: Chicken (no particular way).

Favorite candy: "Anything chocolate."

Best sports memory: "When my AAU team [James River] finished fifth at the national tournament two years ago in Louisiana."

If she had one wish: "To become a professional basketball player."

What bugs her the most: Nothing. "I don't really get bothered by much."
