MOORESVILLE, N.C. - Virginia State finished eighth in the final round of the NCAA Southeast/Atlantic Super Regional yesterday with a team score of 964, 100 strokes over par.

Jerel Whiting was the Trojans top finisher and tied for 10th place with a three-day score of 10-over-par 226.

Virginia State will compete today in the PGA Minority Collegiate Championship in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
