What she did: Townsend moved into the circle this season and has been improving each game. Even though she gave up nine hits, she beat Dominion District rival Cosby 7-5. She also had a hit, drove in a run and scored against the Titans. Against nondistrict foe Hermitage, she struck out 14 and was 2 for 3 at the plate and scored twice.
