Trial of 2 in Tech shooting is continued

The trial of two 22-year-old men accused of shooting into the occupied apartment of Virginia Tech cornerback Victor "Macho" Harris has been continued. No new date has been announced.

They are charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, a felony. Peal is charged with an additional felony: possession of a firearm by a felon.

The charges stem from the early morning hours of Nov. 11, when a 9 mm handgun and shotgun were fired at the exterior of Harris' off-campus apartment building in Blacksburg. At least one bullet entered the apartment through a sliding-glass door. Harris, a rising senior from Highland Springs High, was inside the apartment at the time with three other people. No one was injured.
