Add former University of Virginia basketball star Sean Singletary to the list of players who'll hold court Sunday in Ashland at the second annual Commonwealth Collegiate Challenge.

Other recent additions to the game, which will start at 4:30 p.m. at Randolph-Macon College's Crenshaw Gymnasium, include Virginia Union's Brad Byerson (Thomas Dale High), Old Dominion's Brian Henderson (Varina High) and William and Mary's Laimis Kisielius.

Singletary, a 6-0 point guard, was named to the all-ACC first team three times. He also was a three-time selection as the Richmond Times-Dispatch's state player of the year.

The Commonwealth Collegiate Challenge will match seniors from ACC programs against seniors representing state schools other than Virginia Tech and U.Va. Previously committing to play were Deron Washingon and Marcus Travis of Virginia Tech, Michael Anderson and Jamal Shuler of Virginia Commonwealth, U.Va.'s Adrian Joseph, Maryland's Bambale Osby (Benedictine High), Richmond's Oumar Sylla and Virginia Military Institute's Reggie Williams (Prince George High).

Some of the proceeds from the game will benefit the Blue Sky Fund, a nonprofit organization for inner-city youths.

General-admission tickets are $10 apiece. They can be purchased at the door Sunday or in advance at the Virginia Barbecue Company, 600 England St. in Ashland. Also, VIP tickets are available for $25 apiece, and they include priority seating and a post-game dinner with players.

For ticket information, contact the game's promoter, Thomas Leachman, at tleachman@comcast.net.
