Notable : Lancaster (23-4) is the Region A champion. The Red Devils captured the Northern Neck District title for the first time in school history and are playing in the state championship game for the first time. Lancaster earned its place with victories over Wilson Memorial and Chilhowie. The Red Devils have won 12 consecutive games. Joanne Webb-Fary is in her second season as coach. . . . The Buffaloes (25-3) are in the final for the second consecutive year. They lost to Clarke County last year. Floyd reached the title game again with victories over Honaker and George Mason.
