Kion Brown scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, leading Evangel Christian to a victory in the VIS, Division III state quarterfinals at Highland Springs High School.

Mike Gbinije added 13 points, seven rebounds and four steals for Evangel, and James Ford tossed in 10 points.

Evangel plays in the semifinals at noon today at Richard Bland College in Petersburg.

Joel Chandler led George Mason with 14 points, followed by Jordan Cheney with 13 and Anthony Andrianarison with 12.
