Where to stay on vacation is one of the most important decisions a visitor can make, as your accommodation sets the tone for the entire trip. The Na Pali Coast, in North Kaua'i, has always been notorious for attracting Hollywood film stars and elite travelers to its shapely shores.

"Pure Kaua'i," a well-known boutique business whose name is synonymous with custom luxury and spa vacations in North Kaua'i, specializes in creating vacation experiences that both pamper and rejuvenate one's mind, body and spirit.

"At 'Pure Kaua'i,' we work individually with our clients to co-create a spa-like experience in the privacy of a beautiful home, rather than in a resort setting," said Phillip Jones, CEO of Pure Kaua'i. "We utilize our extensive resources of incredible offerings to provide our clients with the 'best of the best' that Kaua'i has to offer in every area of interest."

Among Pure Kaua'i's preferred menu of service providers are health-conscious private chefs, gifted massage therapists and healers, sure-footed surfing instructors and well-acclaimed hiking experts.

The company has a current inventory of 25 upscale homes, which range from a one-bedroom coastal bungalow to a luxurious 12-bedroom mansion. According to Jones, prices range from $300 to $7,000 per night.

One of the most spectacular island getaway homes is the "Kalihiwai Ridge Estate," a gated 11-bedroom private getaway situated at the rim of the Kalihiwai Gorge. Privileged people traveling to North Kaua'i to focus on wellness love the property's soothing, unobstructed poolside view of five mystical mountains.

One quirky little abode, which I simply love, is the one-bedroom "Secret Beach Cottage." Locals call it "The Love Shack," as it epitomizes everything you'd expect a romantic cliffside cottage in Kauai to be. It's also one of the best private locations to dolphinand whale-watch.
