Henrico County police say they have arrested the man who matches the description of the person who prompted yesterday's lockdown at the University of Richmond campus.

 

Richmond Public Schools Superintendent Deborah Jewell-Sherman last night was named the state's superintendent of the year by the Virginia Association of School Superintendents during its annual conference in Roanoke. "The board is not surprised but very happy and very proud of her and all the work she has done in Richmond," said School Board Vice Chairwoman Lisa Dawson.
