Richmond prosecutors will seek a murder indictment today against a 19-year-old woman in the shooting death of a Virginia Commonwealth University student in late March.

A multijurisdictional grand jury will consider indictments against Zsabriela Evelyn Williams, of the 5200 block of Wingfield Street in Richmond, for first-degree murder, felonious use of a firearm and two counts of robbery in the killing of Tyler J. Binsted on March 27 next to the Byrd Park tennis courts.

Police and prosecutors say they believe Williams fired the shot that killed Binsted as he fled the scene of a robbery with his girlfriend, who was not injured.

Williams was accompanied by Howard Reed Scott III, a 17-year-old South Richmond man who already has been charged with murder, robbery and use of a firearm in Binsted's death.

Police also have arrested a third person, 19-year-old LaPrecious Nicole Austin, of the 2700 block of Nine Mile Road, as an accessory to the robbery of Binsted and his girlfriend, who has not been identified.

Police say Austin drove Williams and Scott to the park and was waiting for them when Binsted's girlfriend jumped into Austin's car while fleeing from Binsted's killers. Austin drove a short distance, and the girlfriend got out to find help.

Austin appeared in General District Court last week on a charge of conspiracy to commit robbery.
