Henrico County police say they have arrested the man who matches the description of the person who prompted yesterday's lockdown at the University of Richmond campus.

They identified him as Seth A. Newman, 19, of the 1700 block of Chadwick Drive in Henrico County,

He was charged with one felony count of hiding his identity and two misdemeanor counts of impersonating a law enforcement officer and acting like a law enforcement officer.

Newman was taken into custody based on a tip and was being held on $10,000 bond, police said. They declined to say where he was apprehended or where he is being held.

County police arrested him on Richmond warrants because, they said, the acts occurred on the Richmond portion of the campus.

The campus was locked down yesterday following reports that a suspicious, possibly armed man was seen on campus. He was described as wearing a fake beard and a jacket with the word "sheriff" on it.
