A 17-year-old boy stabbed a 45-year-old man during a struggle at the man's home early yesterday, Henrico County police said.

Stephon Bullock was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, said police Lt. Mark Banks.

Bullock is listed in serious but stable condition, said Malorie Janis, spokeswoman for the medical center.

The teen, whose name was withheld because of his age, had gone to Bullock's home in the 1500 block of Farley Terrace to play pool. Police said the teen told authorities that he stabbed Bullock during a struggle.

Officers were summoned to the home about 2:30 a.m.
