A man and a woman face child-neglect charges after a bag of what appeared to be cocaine was found on a container of baby formula, Caroline County authorities said.
Adam Butler, 23, of Dawn and Iisha Crichlow, 24, of Ruther Glen were charged with child neglect. Two other men were arrested in the drug investigation.
Butler and Corey Tillman, 39, of Ruther Glen were charged with distribution of cocaine and possession of cocaine. Butler also was charged with possession of a gun while possessing cocaine. Tyrone Baylor, 38, of Dawn was charged with possession of cocaine.
The investigation involved searches of a vehicle and rooms at two hotels in the Ruther Glen area. It was prompted by complaints about drugs being sold from a hotel room, authorities said.
The small bag of what appeared to be cocaine was lying on top of a container of formula that was meant for a 10-month-old child, authorities said.
