At least three high school students complained of injuries after a school bus crash this morning in Richmond.
The crash happened about 8:40 a.m. at West Clay and North Harrison streets near Carver Elementary School. The students were headed to Capital City Program, an alternative school. About seven students were on the bus.
Two students were fitted with neck braces and taken to VCU Medical Center, and a third was taken home. The bus driver complained of a headache and also was taken to the hospital. Other students were seen with ice bags, including one who held a bag to his right shoulder.
A four-door Mercedes collided with the bus at the intersection. The driver was not injured but Officer Christopher Snyder said the driver, a man, was charged with failing to yield the right of way. His name was not immediately available.
