About 50 Virginia National Guard soldiers from the Hampton Roads area are to return to Virginia today after service in Iraq and Kuwait.

The soldiers from Norfolk-based A Troop, 2nd Squadron of the 183rd Cavalry are due at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach at 1:30 p.m., though that time could change.

The 2nd of the 183rd deployed to the Middle East in September, working as a security force in the Iraq-Kuwait border region.
