Barbaro Canizares knocked in four runs as the Richmond Braves beat the Norfolk Tides 8-4 Sunday before 2,240 at The Diamond.

Canizares, who began Sunday's activities, ranked sixth among International League batters (.324), drove in runs with a two-run single, a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. Canizares raised his average to .331.

The Braves scored three times in the third inning to take a 4-1 lead over Baltimore's AAA club. The Tides cut it to 4-3 in the fifth, but Richmond increased the advantage to 6-3 in the bottom of that inning and added single runs in the seventh and eighth.
