The Virginia Department of Education will start a new program this fall to identify students with learning disabilities.
 
Chesterfield County police are looking for a man who robbed the Peoples Bank of Virginia at 5734 Hopkins Road yesterday. Police said the man entered, approached a teller and demanded money without displaying a weapon. He received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing in a black Honda with a sunroof. Police described the suspect as having a thin build, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and in his mid-20s. He wore a black shirt, jeans, a baseball cap and sunglasses with gold rims.
 
Residents of the England Run subdivision in Stafford County inspected their homes yesterday. A tornado Thursday night destroyed 30 homes in the
STAFFORD -- David Skaja looked outside just in time to see a tornado twist through a nearby yard and devour the entire second floor of a house across the street.
