Police on Sunday arrested a Richmond woman charged in a hit and run involving a pedestrian.

Tiffany Madonna Davis, 23, of the 5800 block of Orcutt Lane, faces felony charges of hit and run and malicious wounding in Thursday's incident in the 6100 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond.

The pedestrian was taken to VCU Medical Center with injuries described as life-threatening. Authorities said the incident was "an assault and not an accident." Police did not name the victim.
