AAA Mid-Atlantic this morning reports that today's average price for a gallon of gasoline decreased in the Richmond area -- from $3.57 a gallon to $3.56.

Nationally, the average went down a penny as well -- to $3.61.

In Virginia, the average remained steady at $3.53.
