Henrico County police are searching for a man they say was abducted during a home invasion yesterday in Highland Springs.

Lt. Doug Perry said Duron Jermel Ferguson is considered endangered after being abducted about 1:30 a.m. from his home in the 100 block of North Mapleleaf Avenue.

Perry said police are unsure of a motive and do not have any information about possible suspects.

Ferguson, 25, is described as black with a medium complexion, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, 160 pounds and wearing his hair in braids.

Perry said Ferguson and his girlfriend were awakened by a loud noise and realized someone was breaking into their single-family home. Ferguson and his girlfriend hid in separate locations, and when she emerged, Ferguson and the abductors were gone, Perry said.

Perry said there were signs of forced entry at the front and rear doors of the house.

Anyone with any information can call Henrico police investigator A.J. Stromberg at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.
