Job title: Lieutenant, Henrico County Fire Department, stationed at Fire Station No. 5 at 6911 Lakeside Ave. He has been with Henrico for more than 12 years and has been a volunteer fire fighter for 18 years. He still volunteers in Powhatan County.

Henrico Firestation No. 5: The official dedication for the new firehouse is May 8 at 2 p.m. This is the third firehouse at this spot in Lakeside. The first opened in 1941 and was replaced in 1961 by the second firestation, which was in use until January 2006. The firefighters were housed in a quonset hut and trailer a few blocks east of the 6911 Lakeside location during the construction of the current firehouse, from January 2006 until March 2008.

Station 5 responds to around 3,000 calls a year, which runs second only to Station 10 at Horsepen for Henrico County, according to Warner.
