Richmond National Battlefield Park's special anniversary event planned for the 146th anniversary of the Battle of Drewry's Bluff on May 17-18 has been canceled because of paving and construction work. Drewry's Bluff closed on April 21, and is scheduled to reopen on May 31.
Workers are removing the current parking lot and building a new parking facility closer to the site's entrance.
