Minorityand women-owned business can learn about doing business with the federal government at a free seminar from 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow at John Tyler Community College in Chester.

Sponsored by Rep. J. Randy Forbes, R-4th, the seminar will feature representatives from the Small Business Administration, the state's Crater Procurement Assistance Center and small-business owners from the area.

These groups will provide "helpful information to get started in applying for government contracts," Forbes said in a statement.

"For many small businesses, a contract with the federal government can be invaluable," Forbes said in a statement, "and likewise the federal government can benefit from the unique opportunities offered by small businesses.

"Unfortunately, it is often difficult for small businesses to know where to start when looking for opportunities with the federal government," he said.

The federal registration process, small-business regulations and programs, central contractor registration, government contractions tools and finding business opportunities with the federal government are on the agenda.

Interested business can register for the seminar online at: http:// forbesseminar.eventbrite.com/
