The Blue Ridge Parkway between Mileposts 105.8 and 112.2 east of Roanoke will be intermittently detoured and closed for bridge repairs for the next 13 months, beginning Thursday.

Signs on the parkway will alert motorists to changes along that section, between U.S. 460 and state Route 24.

Similarly, a 51-mile section of parkway in North Carolina will be detoured for the month of November for tunnel repairs. The section, east of Asheville, is between Mileposts 382.5 and 330.9.
