A Mechanicsville couple who embezzled $1.6 million from a Richmond company were sentenced to 46 months in prison yesterday for bank fraud and money laundering.

U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson also ordered Patricia Cheek, 41, and Darryl Cheek, 43, to each make $1,595,010.32 in restitution to the X-Ray Engineering Company of Virginia, Inc., at 705 Dawn Ave.
