Henrico County police have arrested a man in connection with a rape that occurred 34 years ago.

John Henry Howard Jr., 68, of the 2400 block of Burton Street in Richmond was arrested Wednesday, a police spokesman said.

The victim was 81 when she was raped in 1974. She died 10 years ago, the spokesman said.
