Richmond police are investigating the slaying early this morning of a young Glen Allen woman.

Erica R. Williams, 21, of the 8300 block of Dove Hollow Place was pronounced dead on a walkway behind an apartment building in the 3300 block of Moody Avenue about 12:40 a.m., police said.

Officers were responding to a report of a shooting and police said in a news release that she may have been killed during a robbery. The crime scene is in South Side near George Wythe High School.

Police said anyone with information on the case should call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
