The KLM Scholarship Foundation will hold its first Black & White Casino Night on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Children's Museum of Richmond, 2626 W. Broad St., Richmond, Virginia.

Guests are encouraged to wear black and white attire as they try their luck with mock versions of blackjack, roulette, craps and Texas Hold 'em games. There also will be music, heavy hors d'oeuvres, door prizes (gift certificates from O'Charley's, Ukrop's, Kroger, Stein Mart), grand prizes and a silent auction.

General admission tickets are $45, and VIP tickets are $55.

Local news anchor/reporter Shelby Brown will be the mistress of ceremonies. Proceeds from the event will fund book scholarships for students attending Virginia colleges and universities.

The KLM Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization established and incorporated in November 2002 in Richmond. The organization raises funds and distributes book scholarship awards. The scholarships are academic-based and target college students faced with financial obstacles.
