A crash in Richmond's Carytown neighborhood this morning resulted in two damaged vehicles and a building, but no serious injuries.
The crash occurred about 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Sheppard and West Cary streets when a green Ford Focus broadsided a red Honda hatchback. The impact sent both vehicles through the intersection and onto the sidewalk in front of 2933 W. Cary St., former home of Urban Artifacts.
The rear end of the Honda struck the corner of the now-vacant building and smashed two large glass windowpanes.
Ambulance crews treated several people at the scene for bumps and bruises, but police said it was unlikely anyone would need hospital care. A police investigation is continuing.
