Two political consultants to Richmond mayoral candidate Robert J. Grey Jr. have left the campaign.

Rhett Walker and Abbi Easter confirmed the split today, citing "fundamental differences about the direction and the strategy of the campaign."

The two advisers described the parting as a mutual decision with Grey that became official over the weekend. Neither would elaborate on the circumstances.

Grey and his remaining campaign adviser, Michael Brown, could not be immediately reached.
