Hanover scored twice in less than three minutes late in the first quarter and went on to defeat the Patriots, ranked No. 9 in the early Times-Dispatch Top 10 Poll, 14-6 last night at Patrick Henry. The Hawks (1-0) defeated the Patriots (0-1) in last year's season opener and again in the Central Region, Division 5 championship game.
