Richmond Animal Control officers found a 200-pound pig wandering in the 2300 block of Royall Avenue this weekend.

Now, they are hoping her owners will come for her.

Named "Marigold" by city animal shelter staff, the black pig is in good condition and has been well cared for, said Jody Jones, operations manager for the city's Animal Care and Control department.

Shelter staff have checked with organizers of the Chesterfield County Fair, who report no missing pigs, while Marigold shows no sign she fell from a vehicle or had recently finished a long hike.

The owner or anyone with any information should call Animal Care and Control at 646-5573.
