A 27-year-old Alexandria man was killed yesterday morning in a single-vehicle wreck in Arlington County.

State police reported that Rony Emerson Marroquin Reyes died at 3:02 a.m. at George Washington Hospital in Washington, about an hour after the crash on northbound Interstate 395, just south of the 14th Street Bridge overpass. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Marroquin Reyes was driving a car that ran off the road, crossed all lanes, struck a guardrail and overturned.

Patricia Ann Sadler, 43, of Boydton died Saturday at 9:48 p.m. at VCU Medical Center in Richmond of injuries she received in a crash about three hours earlier in Brunswick County, state police said.

Sadler was on westbound U.S. 58, just west of state Route 623, when the vehicle she was driving ran off the road twice and overturned. She was then ejected. It was not immediately determined if she was wearing a seat belt, police said.

Also Saturday, William Franklin Davis II, 26, of Rapidan was killed when the car he was driving ran off the road and struck some trees.

The wreck occurred at 12:58 p.m. on state Route 20, just north of state Route 671 in Orange County. Davis died at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, police said.

This year, 550 people have died in Virginia highways, compared with 657 as of the same date last year.
