Sarah Hilt's penalty kick in the 53rd minute lifted the University of Richmond's women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over crosstown rival Virginia Commonwealth University tonight at First Market Stadium.

Hilt, a senior defender, is a Clover Hill High School alumna.

The Spiders improved to 2-0 and defeated the Rams for the first time since 2004. VCU was playing its first match of the 2008 season.
