Virginians hail Obama's moment
Obama fans view 'exciting moment'

This is what they came to see.

Virginia's delegation to the Democratic National Convention last night hailed Barack Obama's historic speech accepting the Democratic presidential nomination.

After three days of parties and partisan business, members of the Virginia delegation, decked out in red, white and blue, jumped to their feet, waved flags and cheered on Obama.

"It was one of the most moving, wonderful things I've seen," said Eula Tate of Centerfield. "I'm going to tell my grandbabies about this. I witnessed history."

"He hit it right out of Invesco Field," said Del. Robert H. Brink, D-Arlington. "He told us why America needs change and what he'll do to bring that change."

Added Ruby Penn of Franklin County: "It was fantastic. Everything that I wanted happened."
