A Virginia aquarium team will release three Kemp's ridley sea turtles on the Eastern Shore today.

The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center said the release of the turtles, named Snap, Crackle and Pop, is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Cape Charles.

Aquarium officials say the turtles were rescued last month from the cooling water intake canal of a nuclear generator station by the Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, N.J. They came to Virginia Beach in mid-July.
