FREDERICKSBURG -- A man suspected of killing a Fredericksburg Chinese food deliveryman will face capital murder and other charges in Spotsylvania County instead of Fredericksburg.
A Spotsylvania special grand jury indicted 34-year-old Jermaine Lamonte Montgomery today in the stabbing death of 24-year-old Yong Hui Zhang. Zhang was abducted July 3 while making a delivery for his family's restaurant, China Express. His body was found in Sussex July 6.
Montgomery and his girlfriend, 36-year-old Marcey Odessa White, were charged in Fredericksburg with abduction, carjacking and credit card theft in connection to Zhang's death.
Spotsylvania Commonwealth's Attorney Bill Neely says the Fredericksburg charges against Montgomery will be dropped. White still faces charges there.
