NASCAR officials announced the 2009 Sprint Cup Series schedule today and Richmond International Raceway will again host two races, including the final race before The Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship.

For the sixth consecutive year, the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 -- scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2009 -- will set the field for next year's Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The Emerson Radio 250 Nationwide Series race will run on Friday, September 11.

NASCAR's top national series will make its first visit to Richmond International Raceway in 2009 on Saturday, May 2, when The Crown Royal Presents The Your Name Here 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The Lipton Tea 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race will take place on Friday, May 1.
