Add a skunk to the list of rabid animals in eastern Henrico County.

The county's Animal Protection Unit responded Saturday to a report of a skunk attacking a dog in the 2500 block of Old Memorial Road.

When the unit arrived, the skunk turned on the officer.

Tests confirmed that the animal was rabid. The dog's shots were up to date.
