Henrico hires Bosher to lead superintendent search

A familiar face will lead the search for a new superintendent for Henrico County public schools.
William C. Bosher Jr., a former superintendent of schools for Henrico, has been hired as consultant for the 48,000-student district to help find a successor to Fred S. Morton IV, who will step down June 30.
Bosher served in that position from 1981 to 1994, when he left to become the state's superintendent of public instruction. His consulting fee will be $25,000.
School Board members hope to finish the search by the end of the year.
