CARTERSVILLE -- Virginia State Police and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office are seeking a man who robbed the Central Virginia Bank in Cartersville yesterday afternoon.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 9 inches, to 6 feet tall, with dark hair and a medium to large build.

The suspect, displaying a black semiautomatic handgun, entered shortly before 2:30 p.m. and left with an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a vehicle southbound on Cartersville Road.

No injuries were reported.
