A truck knocked down electric wires and poles in South Richmond today, leaving about 3,000 customers without power for a few hours, Dominion Virginia Power reported.
Shortly after 11 a.m., a city truck with an extended boom took down two power lines and poles in the 4700 block of Walmsley Boulevard.
Power had been restored to customers by 6 p.m., said Richard Zuercher, spokesman for Dominion Virginia Power.
