Guard ceremony in Fredericksburg

The Virginia Army National Guard will honor A Company of the 116th Brigade Special Troops Battalion with a Freedom Salute at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Old Mill Park, 2216 Caroline St., in Fredericksburg.
The Guard company's soldiers served in Iraq from March 2007 until February, doing road-security patrols, base defense and civil-military operations.
The Army awarded Bronze Stars to 19 soldiers from the Fredericksburg-based unit, and five of the Guard members received the Combat Action Badge.
