Tiffany Davis is accused of hitting a pedestrian on Midlothian Turnpike.

A South Richmond woman is being sought by police in connection with an apparent hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian on Midlothian Turnpike on Thursday afternoon.

Richmond police identified the suspect as Tiffany Davis, 23, of the 5800 block of Orcutt Lane.

The pedestrian was hit while walking in the 6100 block of Midlothian Turnpike and managed to walk to the 5700 block before he collapsed, a police spokeswoman said. The driver did not stop.

Police initially believed it was an accident but have since learned that the man and the driver had a relationship. That makes it a possible case of malicious wounding and hit and run, police said.

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers (804) 780-1000.
