Shareholders of Circuit City Stores Inc. might be eager for changes that improve the stock performance.

The stock hit a recent high two years ago. On May 31, 2006, Circuit City shares closed at $30.05.

On April 14, when Blockbuster went public with its offer to buy the retailer for $6 to $8 per share, the stock closed at $4.97. Shares settled this week at $5.07.

With about 167.8 million shares outstanding, the company lost more than $4 billion in market value between May 31, 2006, and yesterday.
