Appomattox Regional Governor's School has pulled off another first place award -- the school has been named the 2007-2008 State A Creative Writing Champions of the Virginia High School League.

The creative writing portfolio won first place, for which they earned a trophy. In addition to the portfolio award, Anna Funtelar won first place for her poetry submission and both Christina Trimarco and Meagan Jenigen won second place for their nonfiction essays.
